Product Description

Product: Potassium dihydrogen phosphate(MKP)

Molecular formula: KH2PO4

Molecular weight: 136.09 

Properties: Colorless prismatic crystals or white crystalline powder. Has a relative density of 2.338. Melting point is 252.6 ºC. Highly soluble in water (83.5g/100ml water at 90 ºC), resulting in an acidic aqueous solution with a pH value of 4.6 for a 1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution. Insoluble in alcohol. Exhibits deliquescence. Upon heating to 400 ºC, it forms a transparent liquid that solidifies into opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate upon cooling.

Applications: Serves as a buffer and culture agent in industrial settings. Also acts as a highly efficient phosphate and potassium compound fertilizer in agriculture. Food-grade quality suitable as a food improvement additive.
